Round up week 9

Hello and welcome to the Round Up – Week 9 post for Quote Quest.

This week we have the the very lovely Victoria from Victoria Blisse as our round up guest <3

Amy Norton – Love is Many Things

One of my favourite bible quotes, which was read at my wedding and my Nanna and Dad’s funeral, is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Amy’s post feels like a modern day version of it. Beautiful expression of what love is in all it’s myriad beauty.

Lillith Avir – Circle of Friends

Lilith captures the reality that we’ve got many different aspects to our personalities really well here. That friendships are varied and it’s a good thing to have outlets for all the different parts of us!

LittleSwitchBitch – Letting me, Be me.

Little Switch Bitch’s description of losing friends at the beginning of her piece resonated with me. I met my hubs online and many of the people we chatted with told me we’d never, ever make it. We’ll be celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary next month. He is the only person from that set of friends I’m still in touch with. She describes a special friendship with her OH which really shows friendship and being partners aren’t mutually exclusive.
